2021 Scrapped

Despite the fact I didn’t write that much in 2021, there are a ton of scrapped ideas and posts.

Before I actually talk about the scraps, let’s quickly go over what I played in 2021. Minus everything I talked about in January to April.
Blade & Sorcery is really good, but even better when modded.
Metroid Dread and Mario Party Superstars are amazing games, and something both series needed.
The rest of the Smash Ultimate fighter pass was pretty good.
Deltarune Chapter 2 is fucking amazing and I can’t wait for the whole game.
Teardown is nice, House Flipper too. I’m forgetting like 90% of the games I played.
Anyway still waiting for Citadel and Project 4. Let’s go on.

I planned to write a post about game soundtracks, but seeing how that’s not really my expertise. I scrapped it pretty early on. Check out Scruffy instead, because he’s an actual expert: https://www.youtube.com/c/ScruffyMusic

A post was written explaining the linked universe between Valve’s games. Specifically Portal and Half-Life. I also scrapped this because it’s already well documented and I couldn’t really add anything to it. This was the “some Portal and Half-Life related thing” I talked about in the January-April post.

A review for The Room: Dark Matter was planned, but if I ever write about it. I’m just going to do all Room games all at once, they’re all pretty similar to each other and only writing about the VR version wouldn’t really work.

I wanted to write about Half-Life’s combat, how it used planning and thinking ahead. But again, this idea has been done so many times already I had nothing new to add.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate fighter pass reviews was something I thought about, A review showcasing each DLC character, their trailers, gameplay, visuals etc. It might still happen, but I haven’t played each character enough to write about every character.

A post about how VR can become bigger and possible dominate the market. But seeing how the “Metaverse” plans to use VR for a very boring and dead dystopian alternative, I think I might just not do this. I’m just waiting for this all to die out so VR can go back to actual good things instead of this garbage Zuckerberg is using it for.

Stealth in games, but I haven’t played enough game to talk about it. If I do talk about it eventually, I think it’ll be a crime not to mention the classics like Goldeneye and MGS, so I’ll need to play those first.

OH and I wanted to make a post for my dream Mario Kart game, but never FUCKING mind because there’s DLC for MK8 now, so I don’t know if it’s worth it.

And that’s pretty much it, well not really. There are actually more posts that were scrapped. But that’s because they’re either being rewritten or formed into something else. Like the Black Mesa review, that’s currently in its third rewrite. And there also some that are on hold but will hopefully be finished eventually.
